Salt and Sacrifice is a 'hard-core RPG platformer' sequel to Salt and Sanctuary

The hit 2016 2D RPG Salt and Sanctuary is acquiring a continuation, proclaimed by PlayStation Indies head Shuhei Yoshida during today's Summer Game Fest Start-off livestream as Salt and Sacrifice.

The trailer showcases few very stylish side-scrolling action telling a tale about a condemned criminal turned marked inquisitor who hunts mages in a bizarre illusion world. Graphically, IT looks much advanced than its predecessor—which, by the bye, we included in our 2019 list of the best Souls-like games along PC—only the gameplay seems to be very much in the unchanged vein.

Players testament customize their inquisitor's appearance, year—Highblade, Paladin, Assassin, Cleric, Dualist, Fighter, Ranger, or Sage—and crime, then partake the Magebane Rite, leaving them in a United States Department of State between life and end. From there, they'll prepare for excursions at Pardoner's Vale, a hub for inquisitors, and then embark upon quests through with villages, tombs, temples, and swamps, searching for clues and tracking down more than 20 different types of wicked mages.

Common salt and Give will support both singleplayer and drop-in, drop-out multiplayer, as good as multiplayer factions including the Colorado-op focused Dawnlight Order and the player-putting to death Winding-sheet Alliance.

"Eyesight the multiplayer aspects of Strategic Arms Limitation Talks and Sacrifice come to life has been actually cool," Ska Studios founder James Silva said. "There are so many interesting things we give the axe do with our diametric factions' goals within this perilous Mage-wracked world."

The trailer only lists a sackin on the PS4 and PS5, but Ska Studios confirmed after the show that IT wish be coming to PC likewise. It's potential to be out in early 2022. Check into some screens beneath.
